Don’t pay too much attention to the negative reviews
This trimmer is awesome. I use to have a black and decker 18v trimmer years ago until the batteries died. I figured it was time to get a “real” trimmer. So I bought a craftsman, 4 cycle, fancy attachment capable, few hundred dollar trimmer. I liked that one for about the first year and then I hated it. It was huge, heavy and way too problematic. It just seemed like I was always fixing the damn thing. I kept putting up with it mostly because of the money I spent on it. Well this spring I got out the craftsman trimmer and sure enough the pull start mechanism breaks on the first pull. That was it! I went on amazon found the worx revolution for a great price and didn’t even hesitate. Now as far as some of the negative reviews of this and other models I really don’t understand why some people feel they must compare the worx to a commercial gas trimmer and then leave a negative review. Unless it’s defective, that’s another story. But this is an ELECTRIC trimmer! Mostly I see people complain about the power and battery life. It’s not a gas trimmer that’s going to send grass flying into your neighbors yard across the street. But believe me it’s got plenty of power to cut grass! I just received my trimmer today and I wanted to test this thing. After charging the battery I cut down grass on a hill that was 10 inches and taller in some places. The worx revolution went right through it.And as for battery life, I watched a video review saying one battery ONLY lasted 25ish minutes, like that was a bad thing. I have one acre of land with grass on all sides, flower beds, gardens, block walls etc. 25 minutes was plenty of time to get all that done. And this came with 2 batteries. I couldn’t be happier.Moral to the story, if you’re a commercial landscaper or someone with hundreds of acres to trim then yeah, this is not for you. If you’re someone who just wants to trim GRASS around your home with a lightweight, battery operated, no gas mixing, quite trimmer. This is the one.Plus all the user friendly features on this are so nice! I really like the adjustable length. I thought I would need it all the way extended but actually I didn’t. I was able to shorten the length so it was actually comfortable to use. Then I adjusted it again to trim the tall grass on the hill. This makes me realize how uncomfortable my old gas trimmer was. Even my wife likes this thing and if she’s willing to jump in and help with yard work because this thing is lightweight and easy to use, that’s even better!Show more +

My husband’s old weed eater died recently after almost 20 years of use. He’s in his 70s now with some serious back issues so he wanted something that was easier to use around our small back yard. We had purchased a Worx cart with attachments a while back and he absolutely loves it so we decided to try this Worx Grass Trimmer/Edger/Mini-Mower. No more dealing with gas and oil and pulling a cord to start it. He only had grass to trim around raised garden beds and a few weeds here and there around the edges of our small property. This looked like a perfect solution but it was not to be. It’s all boxed up and ready to return to Amazon after only using it for about 45 minutes. That’s all it took for him to know this was not what he expected from a Worxs product.Reasons my husband is returning this trimmer:1: The first fully charged battery only lasted about 15 minutes and the second fully charged battery died after 10 to 15 minutes of use and that was just trimming grass. It took about 4 1/2 hours each to fully charge the 2 batteries that came with this trimmer before using it for the first (and only) time.2: The trimmer only cuts a swath of about 4 inches so it takes a long time to trim a small area.3: He found the trimmer combersome to use. He adjusted the height several times but couldn’t find a comfortable position that didn’t put too much strain on his back. It’s supposed to be lightweight but it’s not as lightweight at you’d think when you’re using it.Amazon was very easy to work with regarding the return so we’re very grateful for that. I wouldn’t shop anywhere.Show more +
