I figured why not. Give it a try. If it sucks then back it goes. I had no idea MTD manufactured this. Hooked right up to my 128LD Husqvarna trimmer I bought from Lowes. Adjusted the height to not create too much digging action right away as the manual suggests an initial 1/2" cut then readjust as needed. I was able to quickly redefine all the edging around my driveway and sidewalk with ease. Then again my trimmer has a powerful engine to keep this thing spinning. A 4 stroke trimmer might do even better! For the price this is definitely a keeper considering I couldn't even find a place that sells the Husqvarna brand accessory which is not only sad but terrible way to support marketing of an existing product who's main selling point is the interchangeable shaft drive accessories.

Works perfectly

I was initially interested in this for use with my Husqvarna 128CD. I usually edge and trim two properties, and I was tired of eating up string to edge the curb and walkways.The shipping was quick and everything showed up in one piece, with no signs of damage. Installation was super easy. All you have to do is remove your existing attachment and push this one into its place. To remove your old attachment, just loosen the knob located halfway down the shaft, push the little silver button, and pull. To install the new one, just perform these steps in reverse. The attachment came pre greased and ready to go.I’ve used this several times and have had absolutely no issues. This cut my edging time in half and there is no need to change string. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with a weed eater that is capable of accepting attachments. This was a fraction of the cost of the factory attachment and works great.

Disappointing edger with Husqvarna 128LD

I was very excited to find this attachment for my Husqvarna 128LD trimmer, assuming that I could edge my driveway and sidewalks with ease. Much to my dismay, I discovered that the Husqvarna is the little engine that couldn't when matched with this TrimmerPlus attachment — it simply doesn't cut very well at all.Even at full throttle, the edger cannot cut through basic weeds. The blade simply stops and does nothing. While the weeds are admittedly grown over the edge of the lawn, that's why you buy and use an edger, right? I can get it to work, to a degree, but when I can go faster with the string attachment, which can slice through the weeds with ease, why would I use this edger? I have to clear out a space to get the edger running, then proceed very slowly, but if I try to chew into the weeds at a slow walking pace…STOP. No more cutting.I'm stuck with it at this point, and I'll get it another shot soon. But, if it performs the same way, the string attachment is going back on and probably won't come off again. I'll update this review at that time.
