Works great, when it doesn’t break!
I really loved this pressure washer when I fist got it, I really did. I loved the fact that you could roll up the power cord AND the washer cord after use and store it easily. Other Electric Pressure washers I purchased had no nice and easy way to roll up the cords after use, and it really annoyed me. So the fact that you can roll up both cords is a very big plus.So if I would have reviewed it initially, after trying it out, I would have given this product 5 stars easily. But, I put it off, and I’m kind of glad I did so.So the first thing to break was the sprayer gun itself… After two or three uses, the handle stopped working. I could squeeze the handle, but no water came out. I checked and the pressurized water was making it to the gun, but the gun would not spray. I though, it could happen to any gun, so I went and got an electric pressure washer gun from Lowes, put it on, and it started working again. I figured as long as the pressure washer itself was still good, big deal. I used it often after that. The second thing to break was the GFCI on the power cord. I thought it might have gotten wet internally, so I let it dry out for a few days, but to avail. Once it stopped working, it would always trip immediately after plugging it in and trying to reset it. I took it apart and even though there was no water in there, the GFCI would simply not reset and allow 120V to the pressure washer. I got upset, so I disconnected it completely and installed a plug at the end. Before I get any safety people yelling at me, I just want you to all know that I am an electrical engineer and I install electronic safety devices all the time, so I ensured that the device was only powered by a plug that has a GFCI on it from the outside of my house, so technically a GFCI was still in the power circuit when operating the device afterwards. I eventually bought a plug in GFCI and powered the machine with that. So, the second thing to go wrong was the GFCI that came with the pressure washer. I was upset, but at least the pressure washer still operated. The final straw was where I am at now. Now the pressure washer turns on, but now it doesn’t shut off when the desired pressure is reached. There is a pressure switch inside of the machine that is sensing the output pressure of the pump, and when you are not squeezing the handle, the pressure washer is supposed to reach a certain internal pressure and shut off. When you squeeze the handle to spray, the pressure switch senses the lower pressure and restarts the pump to deliver pressurized water. This switch no longer works. The pump runs constantly and gets the pressure so high that I cannot squeeze the handle anymore, and essentially the device no longer functions as intended! I took it apart and found that the switch that removes 120V from the pump motor still works, but the pressure switch that activates the contact open/closure is what is no longer functioning. It is a plunger / spring switch that goes in and out to activate the contacts. It doesn’t work anymore. So I am done with this machine. I just ordered a different brand of electric pressure washer and I have completely given up on this machine after three separate failures. It worked great when it worked, but too many things have gone wrong with this machine for me to justify continuing to use it. I am not going to bother with customer support, I contacted them and got no response. I know they are going to void my warranty because I have disassembled the whole thing and although I put it back together properly, they aren’t going to give me any support. Forget it, it is time to move on. Thanks for working for a little while I guess. This is where we part ways.
