So far working well
This is my first robot lawn mower so I don’t have much of a comparison point though from my prior research I believe this likely does just as well as the Landroid or Husqvarna. Set-up was fairly easy but I ended up revising my layout. I had a number of trees that I ran the boundary around as directed but I ended up using all of the boundary wire provided. I bought more from Menards but then I had several splice points. I started getting a loop incomplete error after a couple weeks. It ended up being the splicers that were included with the mower that were the issue so I replaced them with different ones and now everything is working again. In the process I ended up taking out some of the boundaries around the trees and the trampoline and the mower does fine so ultimately I probably could have skipped that and not needed to splice at all. We have several steeper grades in our yard and the mower does great, doesn’t slip at all. I’m still getting a feel for the app, there are some things about the automation that aren’t quite intuitive. I’ve had some times when the mower is sitting on the charger and it gives an error that it is out of bounds and I have to move it off the charger and into the yard to start it but that hasn’t happened very often. Still learning the bugs but overall now that my boundary wire is working again this should start saving me a fair amount of time mowing myself.

Worked great at first, then failed after about two weeks
Edit to add: I did reorder another unit, and am giving them another star on the basis of their very quick and friendly customer service. I’ll run the new one a few weeks and then re-review. As I said in the original review, it is a really nice mower and was doing a great job before the issue.Original review:Initially I really liked the AYI. Slightly smaller than the aging Husqvarna I was replacing, it made up for it with a greater battery life and bigger wheels that handled my uneven yard with ease. And the app was easy to use and the wifi connected across my yard.Unfortunately after about ten days of operation the mower began having problems connecting to the dock. It would home in to it fine, but then start searching at the last. I manually docked it for a few more days, but then it started failing to charge. I tested the power going into it and checked and tightened all connections, to no avail. I am now in the process of returning it for money back.I am trying to decide whether I want to reorder another one since I really liked it when it was working, but it might be that the low price (in comparison with the competition) is too good to be true.
