Powerful little mower
First use went smooth. Grass was way overgrown and it handled it like a champ. Couple spots layed over before they could be cut but a second pass took care of it. ( it was close to my knees in spots… )Adjusting the cut height was a little odd, the axles moved one tire at a time manually but it works and this is their base model.I got the âproâ version with the exit shoot attachment, come out the back then to the left. Was a little odd at first but once I needed to get next to my house/fence it was a godsend.Noise wasnât as quite as I hoped but still significantly quieter than a gas mower. It sounds more like an electric leaf bowerPlanning to ride this out and see how good it reminds, though Iâm looking forward to upgrading to a bigger battery powered mowerHandle height isnât supper adjustable but I found it to be a good height for myself ( 5â 10â )Big thing I saw looking for this mower was people using bad extension cords thus ruining their mowers. The longer the cord the thicker it needs to be, they recommend nothing over 100ft and being 12 gauge at that length. ( AMAZONâs frequently bought together cord is the WRONG kind )

decent value with fixable problems = good enough for basic jobs
Product is sufficient given appropriate expectations.Positive aspects: * It is very light and easy to maneuver. * It has sufficient power to handle my yard, even after a long period of neglectâwith grass and weeds about 11 inches high. * The electric motor is very convenient, requiring no seasonal maintenance and will (hopefully) prove durable given its few moving and no reciprocating parts.Negative aspects: * The cutting width is much too narrow. Even my small yard takes far too many passes to complete. My previous mower (also electric, also small) had an 18″ deck and performed well. This 14″ mower feels like 50% more work to complete the same task. * The wheel height adjustment must be rigged before the mower can be used. As designed the axle sits in one of three grooves cut into the flimsy plastic sides of the mower; held in place by two springs. The grooves are too shallow and the springs are not strong enough to keep the axle in place. As such the wheels adjust themselves back to the lowest setting while in use. They don’t do this all at once, but rather one at a time as various (small) bumps are encountered, leaving you with an unlevel deck (with one or two wheels at the highest setting and the others at lower settings) that is always working its way to total failure of some kind or another. In addition the lowest setting is so low that the mower bottoms out and cuts dirt unless your yard is glassy smooth. The combination of the factors means that I had to epoxy small pieces of scrap wood into the height adjustment channels before I could reliably use the mower. This isn’t a problem for me, since I always want to cut at the highest setting; but it could be a real problem for some folks.
