Battery life
I had the previous iteration of this high pressure washer, used one battery. Was something like 40 volts or 60 volts? I don’t remember, but it stopped putting out water even though the pump seem to be working. Nevertheless, I ordered this one to clean out my chicken coops. I watched several of the videos which were really not very helpful because setting it up was very intuitive and really nothing much at all to do. I charged my batteries as instructed prior to use. This unit uses two 24 volt batteries which are furnished with the item that I bought. I filled the water bucket with warm water because I live in Connecticut and it’s very cold. And then I brought the parts for the chicken coop close to my kitchen sliding door. I kept the unit itself inside just inside the kitchen sliding door to my patio.

Was great until….

This pressure washer was fantastic. Would have given it 5 stars. Use it once a week to wash my car so no abuse, always on level paved surface and today for no reason the castor wheel popped off.Makes the unit pretty much unusable.Edit: Sun joe was amazing, they sent me an entire new unit within a week. So I am moving my review from 1 star to 5.

A pressure washer… with no pressure

I bought this because I wanted to wash my car, which has been sitting under a tree that keeps giving it’s gifts all over my car and the regular car wash couldn’t get it so I was going to need to apply some elbow grease and hopefully some powerful water into the crevices. However, I also live in an apartment and don’t have a water hose. But I’ll be buying soon. So I liked that this one appeared to be the best of both worlds. A portable water source with some oomph for now as well as the flexibility to be hooked up to a hose for power washing tasks later.I unboxed it and assembled it. It’s basically a marriage of metal water-pressure capable precision parts and chunky plastic. Assembly is what you might expect from that. It takes some grunting to get plastic parts to slide and screw over metal parts. The batteries have a separate charging unit and that was easy.I filled up my wash bucket, carried it and wheeled this contraption outside. Pulled the trigger, powered it on, it made power noises … and no water. I turned it off and re-read the instructions. I found nothing of note so I tried again. And I got water! Except dribble. Zero pressure. Think water hose on the lowest flow while still getting water. Steady stream. But zero pressure. I thought surely I’d done something wrong. I emptied it, took it all apart, and put it all back together. Same results. So basically, today I’m using a watering can to rinse my car because it works better than this thing. I’m sure there must be something wrong with the one I got or maybe I really did do something wrong in assembling it because my experience seems to be in the minority here. But this was a no-go for me.If it HAD worked, I still think I would feel a little dubious about it’s longevity, just given how much of it is plastic. The ‘handy’ spray gun holder you snap onto the tank was really flimsy and barely held the spray gun. The whole spray gun portion was plastic. There were metal attachments but the whole thing had the feel of one of those water hose spray attachments that looks really cool but is all plastic and dies on you after a year.
