What a mower! Will never go back to gas! Update # 2, battery issue was me not reading instructions
***UPDATE*** back to 5 stars, the battery issue I had was me not reading the manual. Sorry!!Just got this today, and if things change I will update. This mower was amazing, better than I anticipated. I have always used gas mowers and I was a bit anxious about going electric. I get home today, saw this on my porch and opened the box, put the batteries on charge for a short time then mowed, pics included. It mowed much more beautifully than my gas toro. I used the bag and really thought I would have to empty it several times, it seems small, but I emptied once after switching sides. Low noise, self propelled. The wheels grab too, I skidded the grass a bit when I didn’t let go of the propel trigger. Also the speed setting for the self propelled is pretty awesome!Pros:-No gas/oil Needed-Low Noise-Variable speed self propel-Packs the bag attachment like a hoover vacuum-Cordless and quick charging batteries-Cuts super evenCons:- Self propel takes a couple seconds to get up to speed, would prefer more instant, but not a huge issue and would not affect my willingness to buy.Overall, if this keeps up as well as my gas mower, I will NEVER switch back. Just push out, and mow, no worries.

Cuts Grass/Poor Vacuum
I waited until I’ve used this at least 3 times to review it, I would summarize it as “Meh”!It DOES cut grass, and it is self-propelled – that’s the good news. The bad news is it really doesn’t create enough of a vacuum to suck up anything other than the grass clippings as they are cut. So for example, if you have a lot of leaves on your lawn when you mow the lawn 90% of them will NOT get sucked into the bag! There IS a “Turbo” button that increases the motor speed and suction – BUT it drains the battery quickly so you have to use it sparingly. One other nuisance is the self propel drive mechanism – it does not disengage the rear wheels immediately when you release the drive control, it takes several seconds (during which time the rear wheels are locked and will not turn backwards). This becomes really noticeable if you are mowing an area that requires you to go forward/backwards repeatedly (like a small narrow section of lawn). You engage the forward drive to make a pass, release the control and immediately pull the mower back for the next pass – but the rear wheels lock and sort of “dig in” to the lawn if you drag it backwards. If you wait a few seconds the drive eventually disengages and the rear wheels turn freely.Overall, it’ll get the job done for my fairly small lawn area – but I’m unimpressed with its performance and capabilities.
