If you have a big ol’ rolling yard, then you might want to consider a bigger mower. Let me say that up front. This is NOT for sprawling lawns that stretch out into the horizon. For that, you might want to consider a gas mower or at least a cordless electric model. If like me, however, your house has a small yard, then by all means get this little ol’ thing. I live in what is called either a patio home or sometimes a garden home around here. It’s a zero-lot line semi-detached. In other words, a garageless duplex that I own. I have a thin strip of lawn between my parking pad and my neighbor’s. There’s also a thin strip between my house and the one next door (the one I’m not attached to obviously). Finally, a small back yard rounds it out. All said, I simply don’t need a big mower and I can reach all parts of the lawn using a standard 100 foot extension cord.

Awesome Lawn Mower

Got this for the Vacation Home. I have a Honda Lawn mower and a Lawn Tractor back home. This item arrived 4 days earlier than promised. I knew as soon as I opened the box I was going to like it. Turned it over to see how well it was built, It was much better than I expected. Didn’t need any tools to assemble the handle. The mower is very quiet and does a GREAT job. It is very easy to push, almost no effort at all. The lawn looks great. Just for fun I took it out back where the weeds were a foot high, cut them down like with no more effort than cutting the 4 inch high grass. I am very happy with this purchase.

This product has many design flaws!

If the time to return this to Amazon had not run out, I would gladly have packed this little lawnmower up and returned it – what a disappointment it is. Despite the great advertising and product hype, it had some major design flaws that only use uncovers: (1) it is TOO light weight and tips over easily! Because it has plastic wheels and plastic body, this mower lacks any center of gravity so that it tips over easily – be careful not to be tempted to let a child use it! (2) This mower does NOT mulch – and there is NO side discharge. You HAVE to use the very small bag to catch the clippings or the top vent will clog. This means that you are frequently stopping to empty the small bag. Frequently means with only a short distance mowed before you are stopping to empty it. This really increases mowing time and doesn’t allow for mulched clippings to go back into the lawn for nutrient replenishment (3) The small clippings bag detaches from the metal rods holding the frame and is very difficult to re-assemble. (4) The height settings are VERY short – probably to keep the mower closer to the ground, so you will be cutting your lawn MUCH too close in dry weather. (5) The wheels adjust individually for height off the ground and the instructions are incorrect in the original instructions. I had to contact the company for more specific instructions. (6) The height of the controls and handle bar is OK, BUT it cannot be adjusted to drop it down for storage – you have to disassemble the entire unit. (7) The blades are sharp and do a good job – the only good thing about this mower. I think with about $20-$30 more materials and better design that the company could have made a mower that would be a good buy and they could have marketed it for seniors and women especially. But they took too many short cuts to put the price below $100 and subsequently it is an unsatisfactory product and a waste of money.
