I wish I could give this 10 STARS! I have a backyard with a walkway to the pool, numerous flower areas besides the raised boxes for veggies and also a fish pond. This mower/trimmer makes it so easy to take care of this unusual setup. I don't need to bump it to get the string out, it just reloads as you go. I can switch from mowing to trimming by just stepping on the lever. I purchased an extra battery that has double the use time. It's a little heavier with that battery but not a burden. I use the 4.0 battery and one of the 2.0 each time I mow but still have power left when I'm finished. I also have a screwdriver that uses the same batteries; thus that is why I purchased an extra. You can go over things that you couldn't with a real mower (it's a weed wacker on wheels) so you don't have to be afraid of any blade breaking.

I love this thing – it is so lightweight and easy …

I love this thing – it is so lightweight and easy to use. It's downright fun to transform it from a string trimmer to a mower and back. It handles everything I need it to in my small front and back yards and the whole unit is lighter than the string trimmer I used to have. In tight spots, I can just pick up the whole unit to turn it around rather than the three point turn I used to do with my very heavy reel mower. It's easy to hose down the mower dock after use. I love this thing!

It does the job – but manage your expectations.

It does what it is supposed to do, and by not having a chord or a gas motor, maneuverability with its small size. The lawnmower function is a plus, but manage your expectations before you buy it for that purpose. We have a 130 square foot front yard and that's barely enough for the one battery charge to handle. It also does not have a wide footprint so you'll be moving back and forth a great deal in order to get that job done. I definitely recommend purchasing a second battery to finish the job. Its ability to turn into an edger puts it ahead of most weeders. I like it, but I don't love it. Updated: Recently, the spool stopped working properly and it will no longer feed the line automatically. Several times, I've had to manually unwind the string, but that got very old. I'm now moving it from 4 stars to 1 star.
