Have only had for a couple of weeks but it works great! Takes on some tough weeds and not to heavy or bulky for me to use. I’m 5’2 so being able to adjust the length is great

I’m a gearhead, and as such, prefer engines on as many things as possible.I had a 2-stroke weed whacker for years, and while it murdered weeds with impunity, I felt like I spent more time fixing/adjusting it than actually whacking weeds. This little electric trimmer fixed all that. It’s about 3x lighter than the engine version, the handle adjusts to your height/angle preference, the head can be turned 90 degrees to get edges, and the lithium battery can run at full tilt for an hour plus, easily. It recharges fast and comes with an extra battery, so there’s basically no downtime in your weed massacring sessions. The spools are a little tricky to replace (don’t let the spring loose or you’ll find yourself winding it back together manually, which sucks), but once you figure it out, it’s quick and easy to drop in new line.

and it has been working great for years

My dad has this brand, and it has been working great for years, so I thought I’d try my own so I could stop having to run down and use his all the time. I thought my biggest worry would be the battery. This is proving to be wrong. To put it lightly, this thing is a hazard. Yes, I wear jeans and my eyes are protected, but let me assure you…any bare skin you have, is going to be pegged by anything it can get it’s little string on. But that’s not my biggest complaint, it’s how it feeds out string SO dang easily. It nicks a strong weed, the wall of your home [forget about that cheap wire guard on it] or even the machine itself slightly and the string spits out and the next thing I know it’s making a loud clunky noise. This is when it gets dangerous, grabbing and spitting everything in it’s grasp…you have to quickly pull out and away from your body, and let it run, so the string breaks down, back into a normal length so you may start cutting again. This is an exhausting, annoying process…not only dangerous, but it runs both your string and battery down much faster. It didn’t do this when I first got it, granted it didn’t take long, but long enough for me to feel secure enough to toss the box so there was no chance in a return [not that you really can return it…I mean, how do you get that stupid shield back off so it fits back into the shipping box?]. Also, the handle keeps slipping, and I’m not sure how hard that could be to get wrong. Overall, I am finding this to be a very dangerous wacker. I regret getting it, and would return it if I could. I have no clue how this has a high rating, and all I can do is try to warn others from making the same mistake as I did.
